Perfection VS ProgressĀ š
Perfection VS ProgressĀ š
I work in a manner seeking progress, not perfection. The further I progress, the closer to perfection Iāll get.
And this is also why I push to Start Small. Start Early. Start Now.
āDonāt let perfect be the enemy of the good⦠If you canāt do it perfectly, do it good enoughāāāāEleanor Konik
Put this quote to work and see how itās easier to start, start small, and actually accomplish something.
You can do iterations on it to make it better, but you have to start somewhere.
The desire to have something perfect actually stifles mostĀ people.
It stops them in their tracksāāāit leads to procrastination.
That reminds me of Steven Pressfieldās book āThe War of Artā ā
In the book, Pressfield writes an onslaught attack on the Lower Selfāāāwhich he refers to as āResistanceā, the enemy to our lifeās work.
Most importantly, he explains how procrastination is the most common manifestation of Resistance because itās the easiest to rationalize.
Donāt give in to Resistance. Donāt give in to procrastination. Donāt let perfect be the enemy of good.
Peace and Love
