Perfection VS Progress 📈
Perfection VS Progress 📈
I work in a manner seeking progress, not perfection. The further I progress, the closer to perfection I’ll get.
And this is also why I push to Start Small. Start Early. Start Now.
“Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good… If you can’t do it perfectly, do it good enough” — Eleanor Konik
Put this quote to work and see how it’s easier to start, start small, and actually accomplish something.
You can do iterations on it to make it better, but you have to start somewhere.
The desire to have something perfect actually stifles most people.
It stops them in their tracks — it leads to procrastination.
That reminds me of Steven Pressfield’s book “The War of Art” —
In the book, Pressfield writes an onslaught attack on the Lower Self — which he refers to as “Resistance”, the enemy to our life’s work.
Most importantly, he explains how procrastination is the most common manifestation of Resistance because it’s the easiest to rationalize.
Don’t give in to Resistance. Don’t give in to procrastination. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
